Graphics evolution that is if we were watching Darwinism in action the horses would grow rocket launchers or something. From the stirrups and reigns through to the sectional armour, going from one screen to the next is like watching evolution in action. What is this, 2005? These units, while still not comprised of that many polygons are nonetheless still a big step up in terms of detail. The knights are pretty low poly, while the horses' armour and saddles are just a single texture sheet sitting over the horse model. These guys look great as part of a big battle, but don't stand up so well under close examination, at least, not any more. ![]() Medieval units on horseback - very basic shadows, very basic model detail.
